Median Earnings by Education Level and Sex

In the 2017 Report on the Status of Women in Los Angeles County, women today are staying in school longer, graduating high school, and going on to higher education at significantly higher rates than women of earlier generations (Mount Saint Mary’s University, n.d.).  However, despite the educational progress, women are disproportionately poorer and less likely to be promoted to managerial level than their male counterparts.  This is reflected in the median incomes between female and male counterparts by educational level.
